Recently I have been asked to create several cards for women at various stages in their lives. This range from Craftwork Cards has worked well in so many different styles that I thought I would show you how ‘my summer season ” collection looks .
The paper set is called Fabulous Fashionista and it also has a set of black and white toppers that can be coloured in. To extend the use of the papers and toppers I then purchased the co-ordinating card stock. It had some stunning designs including the ruby red lips The stamp set was sent to me by my lovely friend Maggie May ❤️
In this card above. The shoe was a stamp inked up in black and stamped onto red cardstock The handbag was a topper that I coloured in scarlet red.
Another trick to add a bit of glitz and glamour is to back the topper or paper with glitter card stock. I found mine in The Works. On this card I added my own colour choice of red as the recipient happens to work for a very well known airline. The little details on the necklace were created by using pearl drops in pewter and red. They were only the tiniest of drops but they do make a difference. Another trick was to use a matching glitter glue to sparkle up the dress band and the bow.
From deep red to shades of raspberry pink This time I used the deep pink cardstock layered up with black glitter card. The black and white topper was coloured in various shades of pink and purple and finished off with glitter glues. If you can it’s worthwhile to buy Craftwork Cards Candi. I believe they are hand punched in the matching paper. I adore the dogtooth checked Candi on this card.
More powder pink and I used a crafters trick of using up the offcuts of paper that had already been used. Many of the toppers are gold embossed which means that even if you colour them with spectrum noir sparkle pens the gold details still shine through. I finished off this card with tiny hand punched flowers using the matching paper and glitter card .
I hope you enjoyed browsing through this collection and it gave you some ideas on how the best dressed cards look this season!
