Hello again.
I am now at the point where I am making my own Christmas cards to send my friends. I was particularly drawn to two new brands this year, namely Studio Light (based in the Netherlands) and L’Encre et l image (based in France).
I had a wonderfully creative and relaxing afternoon in my craft space and made several cards. Here are two of my favourites.
Before stamping the magnificent stag onto this card; I used a mask to add layers of blue ink to the background. Then I laid down another circular stencil on top and added more layers of ink using the mask again. I used first and second generation stamping on the trees before finally committing the stag to the scene. This is my favourite Christmas card design of 2019.
Stamps used from Studio Lights, and Woodware. Masks and stencils from Clarity. Inks from Tim Holtz Distress Oxides range.
This card began with the mask and inking technique (mentioned above) and I then laid this beautiful stamp (from L’Encre et l image) down on it using black Versafine Clair ink.
Until next time.
Much love x Elisabeth x
I was so blessed to receive the gorgeous stag card. The card is even more stunning than it looks here. It has been beautifully handcrafted by Elisabeth, the background layers and second generation stamping add real depth to this lovely design. The stag has been beautifully stamped and every word in the text is clear and legible. The clear sequins and subtle glitter glue provide the finishing touch. This is my favourite card received for Christmas 2019. Thank you Elisabeth!
