New Designer Launch from Craft Consortium Ltd.

Hello again.

Craft Consortium have partnered up with a new designer called Clare Therese Grey who is an illustrator, inspired by the natural environment in rural Hampshire, where she lives and works on the family farm.

Together they have created a glorious new paper collected called “Farm Meadow” and I had the pleasure of trying it out first!

The Farm Meadow Collection consists of:  12″x12″ papers, a range of super stamps, resin toppers, washi tape, metal charms and co-ordinating enamel dots.

It is easy to create cards with these papers because everything co-ordinates beautifully. Allow me to show you three of my favourite cards:

Card 1

This card involved stamping and masking. To begin with, I stamped the goose image out three times onto post it notes and carefully cut them out. Next I stamped the first goose to the left of the white card-stock. Placed the post it note image (as a mask) on top, lined it up and stamped again. By repeating this process I ended up with my gaggle of geese. I kept all three post it notes in place. Then I lightly brushed pale blue and green inks over the top to create a background. Finally I mounted the geese onto a co-ordinating paper

Card 2.

My next card included a sunrise which you can achieve by drawing the rays of the sun on the back of your chosen piece of paper before cutting along the lines. It will work for a square or a rectangle. When you stick them down leave a small gap between each piece to show the co-ordinating colour behind. You can hide the workings of your design behind a semi circle of card which is place at the centre of the rays and finishing off with the co-ordinating Enamel dots.

Card 3

The final card is essentially a gatefold card. The Farm Meadow papers are just stunning and there is so much detail in every image. You will easily mix and match the designs. My card centred around the tractor. I used one sheet to back the inside of the card and cut out extra tractors to roll along the bottom.

I then used another sheet to cover the outside of the card, before completing it with a wrap around band. I measured the paper band first, stuck down the twine and hid the tapes behind the circle topper and finished it off with another tractor.

As always you can see more of my cards from this collection on my Pinterest board.
