MINDFUL MANDALAS

Hello again

Lisa Horton Crafts managed to produce a collection to perfectly suit the times that we are living in. Who would have thought that two sets of colouring papers and three sets of stamps would bring such mindful joy. Not only that but I could be creative and mindful at the same time.

Here are just a few of my favourites with the techniques I used. You can find more of my DT samples on my Pinterest board

Colouring pencils and pens.

My first mandala reminded me of being a child and working on an Altair design paper pad. I adore the colours of this card.

More colouring in and this time I cut the finished mandala in half. Two cards for the price of one!

This card was made using the Choose Happy stamp set with a range of citrus coloured papers. The background paper was taken from the colouring sheets.

For this card I went back to the history of mandalas and decorating them with dots. Each shape and colour means something but I would need to do much more research to explain them to you. Instead I am left with a pretty card.

This card began life as a background paper to which I added my own doodles. This was the most mindful process of all and I ended up with two cards made up of the Nested Flag dies.

I have saved the best to last – a simple white embossed stamp on kraft card. I heat embossed three of the mandalas , two of which were cut out and layered up.

The Mindful Mandalas were originally launched on Create and Craft on the 25th May however they should be available to buy directly from Lisa Horton Crafts any day now.
