February sped by for me. I have been busy creating and filming new videos featuring the glorious Ink Drops Papers available from Craft Consortium. The Ink Drops form part of their Essential Craft Papers range. They are brilliant for card backgrounds, scrapbook pages and journaling. However, there is so much more you can do with them.
Here are all the names of the Ink Drops Papers:- Earth/Dusk/Vivid/Candy Drops/Ocean and each of the colour ranges are worth having in your craft supplies.
I have filmed two videos to show just how versatile these papers are. The first one focuses on the earlier papers. You will see that you can stamp, die-cut, emboss and create paper projects with them.
The second set of cards features the latest range called Ink Drops Ocean. It is a particular favourite of mine because I love the deep blues and greens.
I am pretty sure these projects will inspire you to make good use of your Ink Drops papers. It would be great to see your projects on the Craft Consortium Network on Facebook – https://www.facebook.com/groups/989114164562461
You can still buy these papers in both the 12×12 and 6×6 sizes directly from Craft Consortium.
There are several new stamp sets and die sets featured in the projects which you can find at Craft Stash UK by following my affiliate links. If you would like further information then please comment below.
Now onto the cards and projects. These have all been made with the glorious new papers and washi from Lisa Horton Crafts
Christmas Romance
This is a simple snowflake card made with a section of the papers from Christmas Romance. The patterning perfectly matches the previously released snowflake dies.
Washi Heart
The washi roll makes creating personal Christmas gifts easy. Here I used the Christmas Romance washi to cover a simple heart. The floral toppers were also taken from the washi and backed onto gold card to create a warm background. Then I created a matching gift box decorated with the papers.
Washi Poinsettia
This card topper is taken from the washi once again. This time I backed it onto white card before mounting it within the red frame – die cut using the Nested Stitched Bubble Squares.
Kraft Poinsettia
This card brings together elements from previous releases which is one of the reasons I love using Lisa Horton Crafts products. The poinsettia paper on this card is a particular favourite of mine. I teamed it up with kraft card and Euphoria Glitter cardstock. Then created a matching Poinsettia from kraft card before finishing it off with an Epoxy Dome.
Gift set
This is a really inexpensive gift set. Take an easy to find shopping list pad and measure the front cover. Cut a piece of cardstock (bear in mind that the colour changes the effect of the washi). Cover the cardstock with a piece of the washi and stick to the front cover. Do the same for the matching gift box and finish it off by wrapping a piece of washi around a pencil.

I am sure you will enjoy crafting with these fabulous products. Enjoy!

I am going to be sharing a few Christmas card ideas with you today. The shopping list for all of the products will be at the end of the blog.
Firstly, let me show you a few cards made for Lisa Horton Crafts shows on the 11th August 2021 on Create and Craft TV. The main feature was Boxset Number 2 however a particular DL stamp caused quite a stir too.
So Festive – Blue
“So Festive” is a slimline stamp with seasonal wording. I used it with Tim Holtz Distress embossing glaze in Speckled Egg.
I then layered up the embossed page using the Festive Check Slimline die set – which is another must have for 2021 Christmas cards.
So Festive – Lime Green
Here are the same products used with a Lime Green embossing powder. I think it makes a funky card suitable for a younger person.
So Festive – Pastel
This time I used white embossing powder with the So Festive stamp. I left it to cool down before adding Distress Oxides in various shades with blending brushes. To create a clean look, take a soft cloth and buff up the letters which cleans the inks away.
Sketchy Poinsettia
Also featured on the show were the Sketchy Poinsettia stamps and dies. Here I teamed them up with Rose Gold Mirri Card but can you imagine trying this style with the brand new Euphoria Sparkling Glitter card stock?
The next set of cards will feature in the Create and Craft shows on Friday 27th August at 12.45pm and Saturday 28th August at 9am/12.45pm/5.15pm (UK time)
Baby It’s Cold Outside
The Large Snowflake dies are exactly that – LARGE! The largest die measures 145mmx130mm. Team them up with the new Euphoria Premium Glitter cardstock and you have a match made in crafting heaven !
To make this diamond fold card I embossed square panels using the Slimline 3d Snowflake Embossing Folder, I cut the snowflakes out in shades of pink, blue card plus silver, white glitter card stock. Then i layered them up in different combinations.
Joy
This card is made with square panel front of embossed vellum (using the same folder as above).
Then I layered up various shades and sizes of snowflakes onto the vellum. To give the card stability I adhered it to a plain white card blank.
Warm WInter Wishes
The snowflake on this card was made with the “waste” from the other cards. Keep every scrap of the precious glitter card stock because you will use it.
I created another embossed panel using the So Festive stamps which goes to show how everything in the Lisa Horton Crafts range works together.
The sentiment is taken from the Snowflakes Sentiments stamp and die set.
Season’s Greetings
This card features the equally stunning Large Poinsettia die set. It is easy to create realistic flowers that layer up to form beautiful flowers – not just poinsettias. Here I have added gold gilding wax to red American Crafts Cardstock.
50th Birthday
These dies are not specifically for Christmas. Change the colour way and the sentiment and you have a glamorous card for a special occasion.
Believe in the Magic
The final die set to talk about is the Nested Stitched Bubble Squares. It is a perfect set to build up the frames and layers of your 8×8 / 6×6/4×4 cards because you have the bubble frames plus the double layers of mats.
On this card I die cut a mat from the Euphoria Glitter card. Then embossed it. It made a beautiful backdrop to the white glitter Poinsettia.
Joy and Peace
Last but not least I die cut the largest bubble frame and added it (with two co-ordinating layers) to a 8×8 black card blank.
Then I created a matching snowflake and added a snowflake sentiment to the smallest of the bubble frames.
In my personal opinion, this range of dies, stamps, glitter card-stock and embellishments pretty much covers Christmas card-making 2021.

I have had such crafting fun with the new Cute Cutz range from Lisa Horton Crafts. I was lucky enough to be sent Sheldon the Sheep and here are a few of the cards I made for the shows on Create and Craft which air on
Monday 5th July at 10.30pm on Create and Craft USA
Tuesday 6th July at 6pm on Create and Craft UK
Wednesday 7th July at 7.30am/8.15am/3pm/8.15pm on Create and Craft UK
Howzat
First up, I made Sheldon a jumper using the Knitted 3D Embossing Folder. There are two layers for the body so I embossed them both. Then I decided to turn him into a cricketer so I turned his mop of hair into a quiff and gave him an eye by cutting into the die that also forms the inner ear. I die cut his legs twice and cut away the back legs from the first set. Next I cut all four legs on the second set and chose the best fit for the arms. His muzzle area was placed on the angle and a cricket ball was cut from red card with white lines added on the seams.
“I wool always love ewe”
This is how my crafting brain works. I spotted this sentiment in the Farmyard Sentiments Stamps. This set me off singing the song made famous by Whitney Houston which then made me think of Diva’s. This led me to remembering The Three Degrees. Each of these lovely lambs has a face and a character of their own. Simply move the eyes around or try different shapes and colours to change the look.
Little Bo Sheep
In another play on words, I remembered Little Bo Peep from the classic Nursery Rhyme. To turn this sheep into a little lady I gave her a floral embossed dress complete with a lacy petticoat and a bow for her wool. I angled her head on the side to make it look like she was waiting in the field and placed her on a circular easel card complete with Petite Petal flowers ( which will also be in the same show)
Rudolph the Red Nose ReinSheep
Once again, this idea came randomly. I cut out the trees from the Set the Scene – Greenery dies and thought to myself. “These look like antlers”. Next, I die cut the base elements in dark brown and completed the look with a bright red nose. I finished off the card by embossing a white background with the stunning Slimline Mistletoe 3D Embossing Folder and added a matching bough of leaves. The sentiment is rather apt too !
This is a really humorous and creative set of dies to work with. You can bring them to life by imagining what you want them to be and making it happen by changing the colour of the card stock, adding different elements or moving the position of the eyes.

I so enjoyed making cards using the Mandala range from Lisa Horton Crafts: I made some more! All these products can be bought from Lisa Horton Crafts at That Craft Place or at Create and Craft so I will only link these two companies. These particular cards were made for Lisa’s shows on the 9th July 2020.
I used one of the pages from the Mandala colouring sets and very simply inked it up using Distress Oxides – Wild Honey and Spun Sugar. The high quality of the paper allows you to play with inks, sprays, paints and pens. I created the rosette tails with the Nested Banners dies.
This card began as a tag – once again cut from the Mandala papers and the Bali papers. I cut into the front tag with the outside edge of the Daisy Burst dies and infilled the clouds with Mermaid Tails. You can check out my YouTube tutorial on this technique The mandalas were coloured simply with pens and layered up using sticky pads.
This mandala has several layers. It started as a sheet of inky magic which I then stamped the Choose Happy stamps across. I cut them out and layered them up with sticky pads. I slightly off centred them each time.
This time I stamped across the white tag with the smallest mandala stamp before layering it up onto a raspberry coloured card tag. The mini bunting dies meant that I could personalise the card for my daughter Olivia.
Once again, I personalised this card in honour of the 4th July – using the mini bunting dies (which are now back in stock) and made my own mini rosettes bunting by stamping and colouring in the mini mandalas in red, white and blue.
I must have made twenty cards using this Mandala range which speaks volumes about its versatility. I hope you will get plenty of use from the colouring sets and stamps too. Please let me know how you get on or post a photo in the Facebook group for Lisa’s fans called Crafting with Lisa Horton.
I have been playing and creating beautiful things. This time I have taken some of the sparkilicious Mermaid tails from Lisa Horton Crafts and incorporated them into a butterfly card. I was so pleased with the effect that I filmed a mini tutorial for my fledgling YouTube Channel. My filming and editing skills are improving slowly. Just as with this blog – I am leaving a little mark on the crafting world. Even if it is only reaching a small audience.
This is the first card that was my prototype
To produce the background – I cut slithers of papers (from the newly launched Pretty Petals papers) and laid them onto a sheet of sticky backed plastic.
Next, I scattered the sparkling Mermaid Tails across the entire sheet. Shook them off carefully and smoothed the excess into the sticky backed plastic.
Then, I gently laid a small amount of natural Sisal over the surface.
To create the butterfly – I stamped out a Jewelled Butterfly twice using “Chianti” Versafine Clair – and set it with some clear embossing powder. A little hint of colour was added with Tonic pens. Before finishing off with a faceted gem or three.
This technique is easy to master and makes striking cards. If you would like to see the full tutorial then please check out my YouTube video.

The papers and the mermaid tails were first launched on Create and Craft TV
I am back with a brand new launch from Craft Consortium which has been designed by Helz Cuppleditch. Cottage Garden is a delightful collection full of whimsical creatures and images.
Here are just a few of my favourite cards which were made as samples for the launch of Cottage Garden on Create and Craft TV on the 5th March 2020. You can see more of the collection on my YouTube Channel. I have tried to show you close ups of the 12″x12″ papers, stamps and embellishments.
You can purchase all of the items shown directly from Craft Consortium Ltd.
This video includes close ups of the Cottage Garden range and includes tips and ideas on how to use it.
This was the first card I made using one sheet of the harlequin patterned paper and an upcoming Dienamix Premium Cutting Die from Craft Consortium. I used one of the decoupage elements to create the sweet lttle birdie in the bottom right hand corner.
This card began life as a box frame. I simply cut away the top half of it to create my fence posts. The image is taken from another of the easy to use decoupage toppers.
My final card was made with Mothering Sunday in mind. I began by creating a little seed box. I then used the stamps to decorate the top and adhered it to the main card with a glue dot.
If you would like to see more of my creations using these creative collection then please take a look at my Pinterest board.
My fellow Design Team members and I also run the Facebook Group – Craft Consortium Network. I would encourage you to join as we share a wide array of ideas and are building up a supportive group of crafters.
Sue Taylor the inspiration behind Craftwork Cards has recently launched a crafting style box full of papers, glitter card, frippery and two sets of stamps. She named it Strawberry Moon – Nature Box (Autumn)
Here are a few of the cards I created with this stylish autumnal collection.
I made the little paper pumpkin by punching out four circles, folding them in half and sticking them back to back.
The background papers match perfectly together and the toadstool stamp makes a great topper.
The pumpkin paper reminded me of Cinderella so I added a golden glitter card shoe (die cut with an old Tonic die) The glitter card cuts perfectly and doesn’t shed either.
I wanted the majestic stag to stand proud in this card so I matched all the embellishments to him. It is a stunning but simple card.
Strawberry Moon is a newly launched venture for Sue. You can find her on Facebook by looking for Strawberry Moon by Sue Taylor.
