To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow.

Hello All
First day back to school after the half term.  It’s always good to catch up with work colleagues and hear what the children have been up to.
POTTING SHED 2 PACK SHOT
I created this collection of cards a little while ago and they were very popular. They depict one of my favourite garden plants – the lavender. The papers and toppers are from Craftwork Cards Potting Shed II set and worked well with the polka dot cards that I had in my crafty stash.

The good thing about these papers is that you only need one section of the sheet in order to make the card work.  A little glitter glue and a ribbon can make all the difference.

I loved this topper of the bee and didn’t really want to use it but keep it forever!  It had to be done though and in my humble opinion it makes a stunning card.  The frames are the embossed coloured ones from CWC.  The purple one is the actual frame. The white one is the offcut but why waste it !

This was another type of topper which this time can be coloured in. I tend to use my glitter glues to add just a touch of colour to the centre of the flower.  I could have sold this card five times over.

Note to self – buy more toppers ❤️

“Paris is always a good idea”

Hello All,

If like me you are a Audrey Hepburn fan you will know that this quote is from Sabrina.  These papers make me think of Paris and the fact that they are black and etched in gold just add to the classiness of them.

The papers I am talking about are Craftwork Cards Toile de Jouy – Jet.  You may know that I was a huge fan of the Tapestry Blue and Rose versions of these papers.  I couldnt wait for Mr DHL man to deliver this set and I wasnt disappointed.

Toile de Jouy Jet - pack shot

Here are two cards which show off the papers in all their black and white glory and the stunning swift has returned.  This time she is gold embossed!

The papers in themselves were gorgeous but they also allowed me to use my newly acquired Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pens.

Toile de Jouy Jet - orange sparkepens

The sparkle pens don’t really show up in this photo but trust me these flowers sparkle.  I used two or three shades of orange from my collection and then I used the clear Sparkle pens over the top.  The effect made me very happy.  The tags in this collection match the papers perfectly so I coloured them in too.  I used a golden ribbon to pull it together.  Even better would have been a burnt orange ribbon but I havent come across them yet!

Toile de Jouy Jet - kraftcard box cardThis was the card and box set that received lots of interest on the CWC Fan page.  The Design Team were impressed too.  It made me realise that even if you are looking at black and white papers if you are bold with your colour choices you can achieve a completely different look.  To be honest if I made this card again I would be tempted to add the topper to black cardstock.  When I do I will let you know what it looks like.

Much love
