HOLLY HOBBIE – COUNTRY LIFE

Hello again

This collection seems the wrong colour palette for this time of year but it is a welcome break from making festive cards. If you enjoyed this year’s red and blue collections featuring Holly Hobbie then this set will be a winner with you too.

If you would like to see more of this fresh looking collection featuring the iconic Holly Hobbie then take a look at my video.

Until next time.

Shabby Florals from Lisa Horton Crafts

Hello again

After a few weeks of making traditional style cards with the Holly Hobbie ranges from Kanban Crafts: I am back today with some stylish new cutting dies from Lisa Horton Crafts.

These are super stylish dies to work with and I think these Double Layered Sentiments are the best products of 2020.

SHABBY FLORALS WITH DOUBLE LAYERED SENTIMENTS AND SCALLOPED CIRCLES.

I began by cutting out a scalloped circle and several sets of the shabby florals. Then I stamped and layered up the sentiment. The circle became the frame of the wreath and the flowers were doubled up and arranged around one side.

THE LARGE FERN AS A CUTTING DIE AND THEN USED AS A STAMP.

The purple fern is the focal point of this card. I die cut two layers in two shades of purple and layered them on each other. Then I simply stamped the double layered sentiments in the same shade of purple before finishing off with sequins. The orange card was made by sticking 3 layers of the ferns together to create a stamp. I rolled the inked leaf through my die cutting machine to create a letter press effect.

MINI DOILIES

This is such a clean and simple card. Every layer element of the doily was cut out and set upon each other. I then complemented it with a matching tag set before finishing with a simple sentiment.

A SINGLE SHABBY FLORAL DIE WITH A TRIANGLE.

This card may look really simple but it took ages to place the triangle at the right angle and offset the flower. Sometimes less is more but you have to be brave and let the space be.

This is a fabulous set of dies which I think you will use time and time again. If you would like to join a crafting community that loves all things Lisa Horton Crafts then click the link to the dedicated Facebook Group
