Christmas Cards 2016

Hello All,

I have been fiddle faddling around with technology and blogs.  So long story short, I am going to try my luck with wordpress again.  If only blog setups were as easy to create as cards!

In the world of craft  I have been creating beautiful cards, which over the coming few days I am going to show you on here.  Craftwork cards are still my favourite products to use.  This years Christmas cards have included Frozen Forest, Warren’s Snowglobes and Christmas Cheer.  Each card is different as every time I make a card I think of something else that I would like to try.

This set of cards were created by taking the beautiful toppers from the Frozen Forest collection.  To lift the topper up from the card I die cut slightly larger circles from the gorgeous papers.  To add a touch of winter time I hand punched snowflakes using the same a papers as to make them blend in and more rustic.  The ribbons were formed into bows and attached with a hot glue gun as this makes them far more secure.

This mini set of 5 x 5 cards were requested by a friend who wanted a traditional design but as she is musical I used song sheet background papers.  The bow needed a little something to tie it in with the theme so I added a mini Star of Bethlehem.

I am not really one for cute little animals but the design of the this little rabbit called Warren appeals to me.  I did make the original toppers slightly smaller with the use of a circle die and then I layered it up onto a matching paper.  To add a bit of glitz and glamour I layed a band of glitter washi tape across the middle just to break the design up a little bit.  Snowflakes were a must have again.

Warren made another appearance on these snowglobe shaped cards.  The toppers this time were printed off from the CWC usb which I loved using.  More of that another time!

So as you can see I have been a busy crafter.

Much love
