LISA HORTON CRAFTS – SLIMLINE CARDS

Hello again,

Slimline/DL cards have been pretty popular in the USA for some time and now Lisa Horton Crafts is bringing her version to the market. The cutting dies themselves are made up of two layers- the inside one can be a layer and the outer (torn/ scalloped/ or postage) layer can be used as a frame. You then have matching shapes which fit inside. There are various combinations because the dies are really well designed.

This first set of slim lines comes with a range of animal stamps too and these form the basis of my design team samples. There will be many more of this range I am sure. The stamps themselves were great fun to play with but I think the stars of the show will be the super slimline cutting dies.

Until next time

Holly Hobbie is back!

Hello again,

I cannot quite believe that I am saying this but one of my favourite childhood characters is making a comeback courtesy of Kanban Crafts. They have secured a license from the American greetings company Cloud Co, which means that crafters like you and me, can reminisce and craft at the same time. Some of these images you will recognise from the cards that we used to send in the early eighties. I know it is strange to be talking about Christmas on hot summer days, but crafters need the products early in order to have time to hand make big batches of cards.

Here are just a few of the cards that I crafted for the launch shows on Create and Craft. Do you remember seeing these images?

I am big fan of gifting cards and enabling others to write a letter so I made yet another gift card set using the papers and toppers. You can see the details in the video on my YouTube Channel.

If you would like to connect with fellow crafters with a love of Holly Hobbie then take a look at the Kanban Facebook group – For the Love of Kanban https://www.facebook.com/groups/216262521885589

Happy crafting x stay safe x keep well x
