HA- BEE NEW YEAR ;)

Hello again

Happy New Year. I am starting 2021 with great new cutting dies from Lisa Horton Crafts which I would like to share with you. If like me, you are a fan of the slimline style cards then these dies will really appeal to you.

Just because these are called slimline dies you don’t need to restrict yourself to only using them on dl cards. The Loops and Bubbles Frames worked well as panels for this card. I saved the inside “waste” to pop back into the frame to add a bit of New Year sparkle.

I love the contrast of the inky night sky background with the black Loops and Bubbles frame. If you would like to see how I created this effect then take a look at my video below.

Once again I cut into the slimline die to adapt its use. I added a trio of sparkle bodies to lift the bees within the frame.

I also made this glamorous folding card by diecutting the panel out five times and setting them within the folds. You may also spot the word QUEEN within the honeycombe pattern.

This time I incorporated two of the Loops and Bubbles dies cuts with the bees. I flipped one of them around to create a different circular pattern.

The bees also have several layers because I wanted to raise them up from the base of the card. I finished this little Bee auty with the Hello sentiments using the

HONEYCOMBE FRAME https://tidd.ly/2P5v05i

This card was made with a version of the honeycombe frame. I actually bought the slimline version during the show because it works so well with the bees and I really liked the outside frame which you can intersperse with the other slimline dies.

Moving away from the bees, I created a card with rose gold mirri card and plum backing paper. I think this card proves that these colours work really well together.

My final card of this set is actually an oversized DL card which is made by folding an A4 piece of card in half lengthways. I needed a larger card in order to fit all the letters of Valentine on it.

As you can see these days are easy to work with and produce stylish, individual cards. If you would like to see more inspiration from the design team then come and join the Facebook Group – Crafting with Lisa Horton Crafts – https://www.facebook.com/groups/468312444069507

Woodware Gnomes

Hello again

This is a quick post because I wanted to show you the cute set of Gnomes stamps from Woodware that I have been playing with. The stamps themselves were designed by Francoise Read. I dipped between paper piecing and colouring. My only regret is that I didn’t buy more of the set before they went out of stock from Craft Stash

Until next time
