Sweet as honey 🍯

Happy New Year to you all

I began 2018 with a brand new kit from Craftwork Cards called Queen Bee. The papers and designs are glorious but what has really impressed me the most are the high quality Kraft cards that you can buy with it. Not only are hexagonal ones available but some gold foiled square varieties too.

Here today I thought I would share the hexagonal cards that I created on the 2nd January when I spent the day in my newly decluttered and organised craft space. It was the perfect way to spend the New Year.

Within the Queen Bee kit are various sizes of paper flowers to make. I played around with them a bit because I wanted to see how well they embossed using the Tattered Lace mini embossing flower folders. I then polished them up with Imagination Crafts gilding wax.

I impressed myself with the results so layered them up and created these two cards.

Next I played with the toppers by adding yellow and orange tones with my Zig Colour pens.

Continuing with the Zigs I coloured in some white with gold embossing flowers ( also from Craftwork Cards) to create a much brighter and bolder bouquet of flowers.

I had a circular starry die that I wanted to try out so I incorporated it into the next card by cutting it into the front. I think this card would be perfect for a wedding anniversary.

Finally I simplified everything by taking one topper, a bow and a few sequins to create a card fit for a Queen.

Until next time.

Much love x Elisabeth x
