Happy Birthday to me….

Hello All

Its the birthday girl here 🙂

I told myself I didn’t need these Victorian Silhouette toppers from Craftwork Cards but somehow they just just jumped into my basket!

I used some of the fresh spring like papers from Sew Lovely and Fab Fabrics and I adapted the shapes of some of the toppers with cutting dies.

Victorian Silhouettes - a spoonful of sugar

This topper is just so cute.. All I added were some alternating colours of Pearl Drops and some Candi which picked up on the colours of the leaves on the backing paper.

Victorian Silhouettes - the kiss

I love polka dots and I love washi tape and pearl drops.  All three things finished this card off beautifully.

Victorian Silhouettes - washing line

I decided to add a light dusting of colour to this topper to give the illusion of a skyline.  I used a little blue water colour pen on my glass mat and washed it over the topper with a water brush.

Victorian Silhouettes - dancing together

Finally I cut out this topper with a heart die and mounted it onto another heart die cut from gold card.  The red pearl drops really add to the effect.  This card would be perfect for Valentines Day…

Much love
