Summer Meadows

Hello again.

I’m back and so are The Hobby House with a soft palette of colours in their latest collection Summer Meadows.

Here are a few of my favourite Design Team samples. It’s an easy set of papers to work with because the images are so fresh.

The background colours are muted which makes the toppers pop out. The co-ordinating pearl strings make the finished card.

The pearlised card stock is brilliant for die-cutting.

Even the border strips can be turned into cards.

Everything coordinates perfectly.

The smaller designs make perfect tags and the cardstock is perfect for construction.

As you can see it is a delicate and feminine collection of papers, toppers, matching cardstock and embellishments.

Until next time

Looking through the Greenhouse

Hello again

I have to say that Hochanda television are bringing some great craft brands to the fore. One of them is Kaisercraft. I have tried out their papers before but what really caught my interest with their Greenhouse collection were the sentiments. They are so uplifting.

Here are a few of my favourites:

“Start each day with a grateful heart”

“Moment by moment, we create life’s little adventures”

“Live life in full bloom”

Aren’t they uplifting?

I spent a glorious day crafting with these papers which did my soul good.

This finished set of cards were gifted to my daughter. She then sent them to all her university friends.

Until next time

Wildflowers

Hello again

Many moons ago, Craftwork Cards released a beautiful set of Wildflower stamps. Craftstash have now updated the set with co-ordinating embossing folders and cutting dies.

I began creating my Design Team samples for Hochanda with this simply stamped black and white card.

Followed by a stamped card using the create a wreath template. This is a great way to make a circle.

Next I tried out the new embossing folders. Firstly I cut the circles within the design. Then I embossed them and layered them up.

Secondly. I embossed the background in glitter card and stamped a separate centre piece.

Finally I worked with the new cutting dies on black card.

Then I layered the black onto bold primary colours to create a tiled card.

Furthermore because there are 4 square dies in the set I made a window pane frame complete with a beautiful view into the garden 😉

As you can see, the cutting dies are a good addition to the stamps and the embossing folders.

Until next time.
