A stitch in time …

Hello again.

It has been quite some time since I spent time in my happy place – the craft room. I am still saddened by the news that Craftwork Cards has closed down. I have everything crossed that Sue and her team will find a way back to the craft scene again soon.

One of the last CWC collections I bought was the Julie Loves Embroidery and I have to say it is a beauty of a kit. The colour palette of teals, mustard and orange are perfect for the embroidery embellishments and papers.

I started off by embossing the flowers with a freebie Crafters Companion folder and layering them up. I knocked the colours back a bit with a faded orange ink pad. The ‘beautiful’ sentiment was from a set of CWC stamps and printed on a mini tag.

There are some pretty papers in the pad and the teal ones are my favourites.

On both of these cards I incorporated a sweet little foliage cutting die from The Works. It is such a versatile die and cuts like a dream.

This card was made up of trimmings from the previous three cards. Want not. Waste not !

The reason I included this card is because the tiny flowers are punched from the waste of the flower sheet. In a Craftwork Work kit everything co-ordinated.

Before I share the last card from this collection I want to show you the three tags I created first. These are for the ladies in the group I help to run called Creative Minds ❤️ Kind Hearts. We swap ATT’s Artists Trading Tags which is a rather addictive past-time !

As I had one tag left I decided to add it to a card. My mini square stencils came in handy to link the tag to the card by creating a background.

If you enjoyed looking through my cards and you want to see more then please do check out my Facebook/ Instagram and Pinterest pages which are all marked Elisabeth Hogarth Designs.

Much love x Elisabeth x
