Hello again.
The tuxedo cards that I make always receive lovely compliments. Today I am going to show you in more detail, how I make them.
The example I am sharing today uses the stunning Tell the Bees papers and stamps from Craft Consortium. However, carry on reading and you will see how you could win a tuxedo card made with the glorious Tropical Paradise – Essential Crafting Papers.

Here are the dimensions for the main frame of the card, using an A4 piece of card stock.
(The x denotes a cutting line. The f denotes a fold)
Because I have made a few of these cards, I duplicated the template above, and cut it up. I then strimmed the pieces by 1mm and use them to draw around and cut out the papers, which covered the main card.
I doubled up on the centre panels because I used two for inside and two for the outside of the card.
Once cut it is simply a matter of sticking the panels to the box. I would recommend using red tape to secure the tab of the card.
I then chose to add a lace trim. Again, I used red tape to adhere the lace.
Next, I cut out 2 or 3 strips that measured 1 cm by 10cm. These are then scored and folded in at 1.5 cm and 8.5cm. I also cut a selection of 5mm strips of various lengths.
Use the z-fold strips as struts within the card
I die cut several flowers using matching papers. In this case they are the stunning Tell the Bees from Craft Consortium. The flower die is one of my favourites and I finished each flower with Craft Consortium sequins.

The Tell the Bees stamps are also perfect for this card. I stamped and cut out 3 Bees and added a bit of sparkle to the wings.

Once you have all your pieces prepared. Add the flowers to different strips of paper. Arrange them at varying heights on the struts within the card. Lay and stick the bees onto the flowers.
The final touch is a sentiment of your choice.
Your card is now complete and the best bit is: the card can lie flat for posting.
I made the Tell the Bees tuxedo card as a commission for a special lady.
However if you would like your very own tuxedo card then leave a comment below and this Tropical Paradise card could be yours.

Love this tuxedo box! I have lots of the “Tell the Bees” paper but cannot find the dies for the flowers, which I LOVE! Went to the Versa Apple Blossom site and no luck! Is there a specific name for the dies? Have they been discontinued? Suggestions for getting that set of dies? Thanks. I am such a big fan of Craft Consortium paper, stamps and accessories! Thanks for any help you can give.

Hi Karen. Thank you so much. If you love Tell the Bees. Make sure you are following my Facebook page. I have so very exciting news to share over the next few weeks ;).
As regards to the dies. I made this card a few years ago and bought the dies from Tonic Studios a few months before I made the card. You might still be able to find them on EBay or the Tonic Studios Selling page on Facebook. Best of luck
